How do you ';force'; yourself to change?

I want to become more independent more fearless but I don't know what steps to take...How do you ';force'; yourself to change?
You will never be more independent. Quit trying too fool yourself.

People don't change. You might ';act'; differently for a week but you'll end up the same, because that's who you are.

Edit: Steve, I'm quite intelligent, and motivated in that which anyone else would be motivated. Shut up.How do you ';force'; yourself to change?
well you can't really ';force'; yourself to do anything since you are the one who is doing it, if that makes sense. But really just tell yourself to change, make goals for yourself until you are where you wanna be.
Consciously think about those two things and take time to think if you have to, on how a more independent/fearless person would react to whatever it is that happens. Do it everywhere you go, do NOT let them slip from your mind. Learn from mistakes. Every time you do something on the spot, think in the future if you were in the same situation, how you could have reacted better. Eventually it will become automatic. Trust me.

You are unmotivated and unintelligent, the more you speak, the more apparent it becomes.
