How to overcome temptation?

Those who are TRUELY God fearing people only answer.

How did you change yourself to get a better relationship with God. And stop fornication. How to overcome temptation?
Dealing Wisely With Temptation 1 Corinthians 10:12-13

As believers, we sometimes hear wrong information about temptation. For instance, many people believe that feeling tempted is sinful. But Jesus was tempted by Satan in the desert (Matthew 4:1). If the Lord remained righteous after being encouraged to do wrong, then temptation itself cannot be a sin. We must guard against false ideas that could disrupt our ability to stand strong.

The truth about temptation is that it’s an enticement to take our God-given desires beyond God-given limits. We all feel the pull of our natural, sinful selves to do and think things that are immoral. In this lifetime, we will never be so mature or spiritually minded that we can relax our vigilance. Satan will always try to capitalize on our weakness and selfish desires.

Temptation is based on fantasy — the capacity to enjoy something we want to possess or do, without actually taking any action. However, the lack of action is deceptive. We tell ourselves it’s okay just to think as long as we don’t act. But if we allow ourselves to dwell on a tempting thought, that idea connects to emotions and produces desire. Desire grows until a choice must be made about whether to act.

Temptation starts small — with a “one won’t hurt” attitude: One drink. One lie. One kiss. The problem is that once we give in, sin gets bigger and more demanding until one turns into a lifestyle. Thankfully, our Source of help is greater than both Satan and our fleshly desires. The key to victory over temptation is to protect our relationship with God.

do you truly feel that the willpower given you by God, is insufficient to do what you need?

You need to confess your sins first, and ask the Lord to forgive you. Then you need to ask the Holy Spirit to help you to do the things that you should do. Read your Bible and pray also.

Renew your mind with the WORD of God. God Bless you
One way to overcome temptation is to be alert to the various forms that temptation can take and be sensitive to its subtleties. It is also vital that we pray about the temptation without delay so that we may be spiritually equipped to fight it. Because temptation strikes where we are most vulnerable, we cannot resist it alone. Prayer is essential because the strength that God gives can shore up our defenses against Satan. (Philippians 4:6,?7) Besides avoiding a temptation when possible, we must actively resist it until it passes or the situation changes. When Jesus was tempted by Satan, he resisted until the Devil went away. (Matthew 4:1-11) The disciple James wrote: “Oppose the Devil, and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7) Resistance begins by fortifying our mind with God’s Word and firmly deciding that we will adhere to his standards. We do well to memorize and meditate on key scriptures that deal with our specific weakness.
There's nothing that you yourself can do.. It all depends on what you take God for because Jesus said that the flesh is weak so we are always going to have those little tempatations in the back of our minds.. But if you TRULY believe in the Bible and what it stands for than all you have to do is believe in Him and fast and pray and all will be solved.
I onfessed first my sins and statred to follow what ever he said in practice: don't fornicate, dont flirt and after a wile I ve not trouble even if I still feel some desire. tell god he will help you , do good thing and obey his word. your life will be better without troubles because you will have peace not to think bother about any one or any thing, French men say more friends more problems, have a friend just your God and trust him sincerely you will report it to every body that God is perfect.
You're just being silly. These are hardly adult goals. You should aim for far more than this in life.
