How to change yourself?

i dont like the way i am.

i complain too much, im too insecure, im very judgy, i constantly think negative thoughts and even though i act happy i still think it translates into my behavior.



how do i become a more relaxed, easy going, confident, adventurous, accepting person.



i know i can change i just dont know how.How to change yourself?
Write out a list of the top 3 things you don't like about yourself.

Then, beside them list ways you can change it.

ex:

1. I complain too much

Ways to change:

Wait 10 seconds before saying something negative to a person

Try %26amp; think of something positive to say instead of negative.

it doesn't sound like you have social anxiety, but I used the therapy and it does change your thinking. I would use CBT from socialanxietyinstitute.org. It cost me around $300 4 years ago, but it helps alot. You have to work at it though, so keep that in mind. You will not change overnight, but at least you don't have to pop pills.

THe idea is to stop negative thoughts and to train you mind to be positive. It's sort of like when we were all kids and learned the abc's. No one ever forgets that song, because it is branded into our brains. It's the same idea with this therapy--if you practice and train your mind to stop having negative thoughts you can keep them under control. Good luck to you.
